Designed & built in partnership between GM & Pininfarina, this Allante is a drop-top convertible that was produced to be a direct competitor to European roadsters. The bodies were manufactured by Pininfarina in Italy before being shipped 4,600 miles to GM's production facility, where the building process was completed.
1987 was the first year for Allante production, and the soft-topped convertible was the most expensive Cadillac ever, with a starting price that tipped $50,000. The Allante came equipped with a number of state-of-the-art and high-luxury features like a fully-functional digital dash, Delco "Symphony Sound" audio system, butter-soft leather and Cadillac's active Road Sensing Suspension.
