Stanford University Opens Massive Online Automotive Image Library
Close to 180,000 images spanning 100+ years available to the public.
In partnership with the Revs Institute, Stanford University’s Revs Program has unveiled a massive digital library of automotive images – all available to the public. The entire library, which continues to expand, encompassed over 178,000 digital images that ranges as far back as 1913 and is sorted in to 12 separate collections. The entire collection is sortable by a wide variety of categories including make, model, year, track or even photographer! The Revs Institute for Automotive Research is located in Naples, Florida and is one of the largest archives of automotive history and one of the premier destinations for automotive research. Their exclusive collection is constantly expanding and houses one of the largest collections of rare books, photographs, documents and other historically significant artifacts. Additionally, the Revs institute also houses the Collier Collection of over 100 rare automobiles raging from a 1938 Maserati 8CTF to a 1966 Ford GT40 and 1995 McLaren F1.
