- Did you Know?
Vitaliy was born a true car guy and as a baby, his parents used to put him to sleep
by putting him into a car and driving around the block. Buying his first car at
15 for $100.00 and flipping it 6 months later for $800.00 was a great start to the
automotive world. He has been buying and modifying his own cars since then.
More About Vitaliy Petrov:
He is a marketing major at Northwest University who has had done everything in the
industry from being a parts guy at Shucks to running a performance shop. job is
right up his alley because he loves finding old rare cars and restoring them. He
is in the process of restoring a 1978 Mazda Cosmo (RX-5) which he found sleeping
in a barn for 25 years in Graham. It only took him one evening to get that old Rotary
fired up again and after smoking out the whole neighborhood with exhaust fumes,
that car became his daily driver for a few months. His current goal is to build
a Hill Climb car that he can compete with in some of the local events. He is partially
there with his 1988 Mazda 323 GTX, an AWD, Turbo homologation special rally car,
but this goal will still take some time.
