Featuring an all-steel body and show-quality finish, this 1933 Ford is custom hot rod with a classic old-school look. This killer street rod is the product of a professional no-expense-spared custom build that was completed in 2009 after being commissioned by its previous owner in the mid 2000s. This '33 adds incredible drivability to its killer looks with a four-wheel independent suspension, automatic transmission and a fantastic custom leather interior with many modern comfort amenities. The car was appraised at $215K after the build was completed, and that valuation is immediately evident.
The show-quality all-steel body features a 3.5" chop with all custom glass, ribbed roof, custom pinstriping and incredible panel fit and gaps. Prominent exterior components include a brushed steel front grille with custom painted shell, painted head lamps, smooth running boards and custom rear tail lamps. The suicide door's handles have been shaved and are operated via remote controlled electric openers with mechanical backups under the dash. Chrome 17" front / 18" rear Body Codington wheels sit under the wide fenders and completed this hot rod's classic look.
A custom side-opening steel hood lifts to reveal a stunning fuel-injected 383ci V8 engine with gorgeous polished aluminum breather stacks. The pro-built and balanced engine features all polished aluminum & chrome components including a custom chrome fuel injection system, polished aluminum intake, headers and heads, MSD 6AL ignition, polished aluminum radiator and Billet Specialties Tru-Trac belt system. The engine exhales through ceramic coated headers and custom exhaust system with earth-shaking electronic dump valves.
Backing up the custom V8 is a four-speed 700R4 transmission driving a polished aluminum driveshaft and Jag rear end. Power rack & pinion steering and a four-wheel independent suspension with adjustable coilovers at all four corners afford a smooth, responsive driving experience with Wilwood front brakes and inboard rear brakes providing stopping power.
Inside the cabin, this coupe showcases a totally custom interior with two-tone tan leather upholstery with custom inlays, a leather headliner and square-weave wool carpeting. The chrome & polished aluminum theme of the engine bay continues with a chrome Flaming River tilt steering column and polished Billet Specialties steering wheel, as well as power windows, air conditioning and a custom hidden Pioneer audio system. Other than the turning indicators, all the expected switches and sectors -- including the ignition and exhaust valve controls -- are hidden in the mirror-finish chrome glovebox.
