Very well presented, this 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Quaddrifoglio is a superb example of Series 3 Spider production. It is finished in black over a tri-color interior with grey seats, red carpeting and black trim. Just 35,000 miles have been driven since new, and this Spider shows in fantastic condition throughout. Original MSRP was $23,989.
Introduced in 1986, the Quadrifoglio was a sporting variant of a base Spider. The name 'Quadifoglio' translates to "Four Leaf Clover", referencing Alfa Romeo's iconic four leaf clover emblem and racing heritage. The Quadrifoglio came equipped with a number of features unique to the model, including new bodywork, front and rear spoilers, updated mirrors, unique 15" wheels and an optional removable hardtop. The interior was also available with an optional tri-color Black/Red/Grey interior, like the example seen here.
Under the hood is a 2.0L (1,962cc) dual-overhead cam four-cylinder engine. While Euro-spec Quadrifoglio models featured twin two-barrel carburetors, US-spec models came equipped with Bosch 2.0 fuel injection. All models were equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.
This Quadrifoglio's original purchase paperwork is on file with the car, as well as a service manual, Quadrifoglio information and thorough service records, including a belt & fluid service here at the Park Place LTD Service Center. The black removable hardtop is also included.
