SVT-powered Sonic Blue Caterham Seven Clubsport. Presented in brilliant Sonic Blue with SVT power under the bonnet, this Caterham Seven Clubsport is bred for track day performance but reasonable enough for street use. This Clubsport has been driven just 5,648 miles and was originally constructed by Caterham USA distributor Jon Nelson in 2005. It features a number of performance R-Spec upgrades that were professionally installed by Sucderia Silvestri in Stuart, Florida, and offers a razor-sharp driving experience that is rivaled by few others.
Embodying Colin Chapman's iconic mantra, "simplify and add lightness", in virtually every aspect, the Caterham Seven is a track day weapon that weighs in at a paltry 1,300lbs. This example is built on Caterham's Series III platform and is powered by a Ford 2.0L SVT Zetec engine that has been upgraded with high-lift cams and develops approximately 230hp. The engine is backed by a close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission with a lightened flywheel, and drives a ZF limited slip rear end.
The car rides on an upgraded performance-built "Wide Track" front suspension with Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs, and a De Dion rear suspension with an uprated rear sway bar. Optional 10" ventilated Caterham Big Brakes provide ample stopping power behind 15" light alloy wheels with ultra-high performance Avon CR500 tires -- a tire specifically tailored to use with a Caterham Seven.
The purposeful interior features an optional carbon fiber dash, quick-release RaceTech steering wheel, superlight composite racing seats, Crow 6-point racing belts, a leather center console and an FIA-approved roll bar. The optional Weather Kit with fitted tonneau cover can be snapped in to place to protect the interior when the car is not in use.
We have an organized binder on file that contains owner's guides and manuals for the car, receipts and invoices for the performance upgrades, record of the Park Place LTD Service Center inspection and Clubsport information.
Only a handful of Caterham Sevens have made is across the pond for use in the US, and this Sonic Blue Clubsport is an eye-catching, fully sorted example that is ready to decimate your next track day.
