Light weight, usable power, and outstanding handling are key elements for a competitive track car. Lotus' Elise combines those traits along with daily-driver reliability. A stock Elise puts down strong performance figures as an OEM-certified street car; much credit belongs its 1945-lb curb weight. On the track, few can match its talents - except a tuned and turbocharged Forced Fed Race 400 Elise.
With a Garrett turbocharged, stroked 1.94L engine putting out 400hp, the Enzo Fighter is built to perform. For more repeatable power, a Spearco intercooler lowers the charge temp before it's routed into the hungry inline-4, and a custom intake manifold, a host of handmade pipework, oversize fuel injectors, and computer-programming work in unison to crank the most out of the engine as it wails to 8500 rpm. For added reliability, a larger-capacity oil pan with internal baffles and an engine-restraint system have been added. Forced Fed also adds a mandrel-bent three-inch downpipe that funnels to a 3-in stainless-steel exhaust system. At idle, this ripped and fueled Elise is mellow, but once on boost, the whining turbo tells everyone this is no off the shelf Elise.
This 2005 Elise is a very well kept example, has known but two owners, and has been meticulously cared for and always garage kept. The Lotus of Bellevue factory-authorized service center has recently completed a pre-sale inspection as well.
With the 111-series Elise models having been phased out in 2011 and the current range unavailable in the U.S., well-kept examples are sought after and usually don't remain available long. This is an incredible opportunity to put a very special example in your garage. Call or friendly and knowledgeable sales team for more information.
