This 1955 Ford Crown Victoria is an absolutely beautiful example impeccably finished in the two-tone combination of White and Light Brown. The Brown interior is gorgeous with flawless vinyl seats, perforated Brown headliner, and timeless brightwork and design accents. Power comes from a 162hp/292ci V-8 Engine, paired with a smooth-shifting Ford-O-Matic Trans. Ford 'Magic Air' ventilation/heat system, Dash Clock, Pushbutton AM radio with Rotary Dial, Airplane Hood Ornament, Wide Whites on Chrome Wire Wheels. The car runs and drives excellent, it is a stunning car and has such beautiful, flowing lines with its unique "basket handle" roof trim and panoramic windshield. Compared with its competition, Crown Vics looked comparatively futuristic at the time. Apart from the engine changes, customers were sure to notice the new 1955 Fairlane, which replaced the Crestline as the top trim level, while a new Crown Victoria-style featured a chrome "basket handle" across the familiar "Victoria" hardtop roof, which originally appeared on the Mercury XM-800 concept car. The 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria was the top trim level for 1955 and included chrome window and "A" pillar moldings. It was easily recognized by the "tiara" roof trim. The design leadership was matched with comparatively up-to-the-minute engineering to make it more than worthy of contemporary consideration. Was there anything more modern on the road back then? Not really. This outstanding example is finished in a tasteful color combination, is in fabulous condition throughout and has been in a prestigious collection for many years. It's ready for the next owner to drive, show, and enjoy!

This exemplary example is from the Art Astor Devotion Collection. A Los Angeles boradcasting pioneer, Art was a man known for many things, among those being a first-rate soldier and a devoted automobile enthusiast. He owned the cars of the stars -- Tom Mix's 1926 Rolls Royce, Rita Hayworth's 1941 Lincoln, John Wayne's 1951 Chevrolet convertible, a 1938 Cadillac Fleetwood with a V16 engine once owned by the actor Gary Cooper. Elvis crooned into his microphones. The battles of world wars aired on his radios. The Devotion Collection features the cars truly closest to Art's heart. These are the vehicles that Art felt so passionately about.

Art bought his first car -- a 1934 Ford Model A -- at age 16 with money from his paper route. He paid $90. During World War II, he survived 30 missions over Europe as a B-29 tailgunner. He graduated from USC and went into broadcasting, working in the early 1950s as host of a Saturday evening TV variety show, called "Club El Teen," and a Friday night sports newscast. In 1978, he bought his first station. His Astor Broadcast Group still owns four Southern California stations
