This 1962 Willys Jeep 2-Door Wagon is an excellent example of the first regular-production steel station wagon. This nicely restored example is powered by a modern 4.0L 6-cylinder Jeep engine, backed by a 3-Speed automatic trans. Featuring a reliable fuel-injection system, along with electronic ignition, transmission cooler, new exhaust, cruise control, working heater and defrost, and further systems refurbishment throughout. The upgraded engine gives this particular example a big advantage over the others, and with a nice interior and great cosmetics, this one makes for a much more practical, frequent use classic vehicle. Inside, surfaces show in fine condition. The fabric on the seats are in great shape and suits the truck well. The dash, fascia, gauges and controls, headliner glovebox, carpets, knobs and lights are all in excellent order. The carpets also look great. The overall level of finish of the interior is very appealing, down to the cargo area. These old Jeeps are typical of the type automobile that both collectors and enthusiasts seek when looking to add to their collection. Being both unique, and very difficult to find in this example's condition, it is hard not to fall in love with this 50+ year-old classic.

Rightfully, it could be called a compact wagon. In a world of strictly genuine-wood four-door wagons. The Willys was a true revolutionary with much to offer, with four-wheel drive, easy maintenance, ample space for its passengers, and safety beyond what other "woodies" (wood-bodied station wagons) offered at the time.
