Holley 650 double-pumper carb, billet steel flywheel, Kevlar clutch plate, adjustable coil-over suspension front and rear, Jag rear suspension with Salisbury differential - 3.54 Dana 44 rear end gears with traction-lok, 15-in Trigo wheels w/ knock-offs, aluminum radiator, ceramic coated headers w/ black side-exit exhaust, power coated frame, leather, chrome roll bar, 5-pt harness belts, wood steering wheel, A/C pedals, SW instrumentation, wing windows, sun visors. The E.R.A. Cobra is a visual clone of the original 1960s' roadster and gives you the best of both worlds: A visually faithful reproduction where you can see - Improved where you can't. The small details are just right, from the configuration of the competition jackpads to the exposed roll bar. The body shape is indistinguishable from the original, and the relationship of the tires to the body is correct. The chassis is strengthened over the original design - and stiffened to reduce body shake, an important factor in an open car. The unique body structure is engineered to create a long-lived body that never gets stress cracks or surface distortion. The special E.R.A.-designed suspension works with the stiffer chassis to produce a combination of excellent handling and smooth ride not available in any other reproduction. On the road, the E.R.A. Cobra is rock-solid, without rattles, drumming, or shakes. This Cobra does not lack for power, it is an absolute blast to drive and will be a pleasure to own.
One of the most popular cars of all time is the legendary Shelby Cobra. This ERA Cobra received the performance treatment from ERA. This one is a classic beauty and the beast rolled into one. This beast is powered by a Smeding Performance 347ci V8 engine, dyno'ed at 425hp. The power is implemented by a 5-Speed Tremec TKO600 Manual transmission. The standard E.R.A. independent rear suspension unit is based on Jaguar XJ-6 components but modifies the configuration for maximum performance and comfort. Except for minor housing details, the Salisbury center section is identical to the one used on the original car and has proved to be extremely reliable with very high horsepower engines.
