Vintage trucks and SUVs are the hottest property in the collector car market right now and with good reason. Usable, dependable and great looking, unlike most classics, a vintage truck can carry the whole family and is just as at home going to your local car show or picking up plants at the home improvement store. This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Custom Sport Truck is an absolutely perfect example of that kind of vehicle and has been nut and bolt restored to absolute perfection. Ordered with nearly every option available in 1972, this truck was a great jumping off point for a restoration and features a few light modifications to make it drive and off road better than new! Starting with an already very nice truck, the Blazer was taken down to bare metal and painted in a period correct shade of Medium Olive which is highlighted by flawlessly refinished brightwork and the very 1970s wood applique strip along the body trim. One of the things that makes these Blazers so great is the removable white fiberglass hardtop to allow for full open air motoring plus excellent weather proofing when it rains, and this one is in fantastic condition.
In an effort to preserve the originality of the vehicle, the engine and transmission are both believed to be original to the truck but both have been completely rebuilt and refurbished with many new parts. The combination of a Chevrolet 350ci small block V8 and TH350 Automatic transmission are a tried and true combination meaning that the Blazer will be a reliable companion for years to come with minimal upkeep. The running gear is stout with a 12-Bolt rear axle and Dana 44 up front, all connected through an NP 205 transfer case. An upgraded Redhead steering box keeps the steering tight and a power steering system keeps the car easy to drive around town. Power disc brakes help slow the truck down and upgraded transmission and differential guards keep everything under the car safe off road. 
On the inside, the specification of this truck is absolutely stunning. A fresh white vinyl interior is paired with amazing Green Highlander cloth seat centers. The cloth for these seats is extremely hard to find but a roll was sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics and it looks incredible against the olive paint. The dashboard is believed to be original and features a full suite of instrumentation as well as a rare glove box mounted factory equipment sticker. A stock appearing radio with a hidden auxiliary input has been installed and the air conditioning has been recharged with R12 and blows ice cold! This truck has been driven about 500 miles since the restoration was completed and all of the teething issues that arise after a big job like that have been ironed out. This Blazer is the ultimate do anything classic car that is ready for you to hop in, turn the key and enjoy!
