Powered by a SkyActiv 2.0L 155hp 4-Cylinder Engine that's backed by a proper 6-Speed Manual Transmission. The 2016 Mazda MX-5 starts off its well-rounded characteristics with a newly designed body and chassis. Aluminum makes up most of the chassis and creates a much lighter car that comes in just under 2,400lbs. The overall length is shortened with a lower sitting hood for a sportier look. The profile of this car is not what one might expect in this class. Smooth lines and aggressive body panels finely curve over 17-Inch wheels and give this Miata a bit of an intimidation factor.

The interior features lower sitting sits and an updated soft-touch center console. The gauges were already well received from previous models and they stay pretty much the same. The lower seat and lower hood match up perfectly to give more of a sports car feel to the overall ride. With most of the controls now in the 7-inch touchscreen, the whole dash and center console area boast a much cleaner look and feel. Overall, you won't be disappointed.

A 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine with 155hp and 6-Speed Manual powers this car past some of its close, albeit heavier and more expensive, competition. Overall, the power to weight ratio in this car is what makes it so amazing. Stiffer shocks with the manual transmission of the Miata means better cornering and a complete driving experience. Lighter chassis components help with the weight factor without sacrificing the overall strength and rugged feel of the Mazda MX-5. It's a smooth shifting enjoyable ride with the body and interior to match.
