This 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, 1 of only 1,800 produced that year and one of only a few hundred known to remain in existence, is beautifully finished in White over a fabulous Black and White Leather Interior with Black Soft Top. This excellent example is among the finest and is a very important Cadillac, with 1-year only styling and very low production. Odometer shows 78,872 miles. Powered by its original 365 cubic-inch 325hp V8 Engine (Numbers Matching Block). Single 4bbl Carburettor. Dual Exhaust, Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission. Power Steering, Power Brakes, Sabre Wheels with Wide Whites Tires, Power Seat, Power Top, Power Windows, Power Antenna, Autronic-Eye, Leather Upholstery, High-Beam Assist, Parade Boot, AM Radio, Correct Eldorado Barrel Clock, Fully Carpeted Trunk. Original cowl tag on firewall, Original lube tag in driver's door jamb. Correct Gold Biarritz scripts on fenders, along with gold "V's" on bonnet and boot. Previously owned in Belgium from 2011 to 2016 (still has Belgium plate). Nice gaps, doors open and close flawlessly, undercarriage and engine bay show age but are still very presentable, very nice older re-paint. This classic of American automotive design is perfect for both the show field and an afternoon of top-down cruising. This 1957 Eldorado Biarritz features a coach-crafted body by Fisher with the revised X-frame architecture, allowing for the convertible to be stretched to 222", making it a true 6-passenger convertible. Powered by a 365ci cast-iron-block V8 engine with five main bearings and hydraulic lifters, allowing for a strong and silent engine, this third generation Eldorado was the first of its kind with a revised rear-end design featuring a low, down-swept fender line capped by a pointed in-board fin. Also seen was the shark style fins pointing toward the back of the cars. These Eldorados were the only Cadillacs possessing the large 365 cubic-inch, 325 horsepower V-8 engines. They are 18 1/2 feet long and weigh almost 5,000 pounds. This one has a host of factory options including power windows, power locks, power steering and parade boot.
This one still provides great looks, luxurious fit and feel, and runs great! The exterior of this rare car is in gorgeous condition. This car is painted in beautiful White and looks amazing paired with black soft top and gorgeous, all correct Black and White leather interior. Sitting in this Cadillac, you'll feel like you've just entered a time warp. The dash and gauge cluster are fantastic. Mechanically, this Cadillac runs and drives excellent. The 365ci V8 starts right up and runs smooth. This is a rare classic car that is only going up in value. The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible has always been an iconic car and is any collector's dream piece. There were only 1,800 Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles built in 1957 and only a small fraction of that number remain today. This is an extremely rare piece of automotive history.
