Fully Restored Rally Red / Black 1966 Chevrolet Corvette. LS7 454ci V8, Ceramic Coated Hedman Headers, Leather Interior, AM/FM Radio, Wood Rim Steering Wheel, Grey Rally Wheels sans rings & caps. Every-Nut-and-Bolt restoration completed in 2012.
Fully restored in Rally Red over black, this superb 1966 Corvette sports a killer vintage racer look. It is the product of an every-nut-and-bolt restoration that was professionally done and completed a couple years ago. This Corvette has been very well-kept since restoration and features a few in-period upgrades to compliment a number of desirable factory features. The odometer shows 53,292 miles, which are believed to be original.
This Corvette, serial No. 194376S120875, was built at Chevrolet's St. Louis plant and left the factory in May 1966, destined for Camp Chevrolet in Spokane, WA. It was originally finished in Milano Maroon over a black. It was subsequently upgraded in-period with a factory-rated 500hp 454ci LS7 V8, replacing the original V8 powerplant. The same LS7 still powers this Stingray, and has been bolstered by the addition of a Holley 4BBL carburetor and ceramic coated Hedman headers. The big block V8 is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
During this Corvette's restoration, the aging original Milano Maroon paint was stripped and the body was professionally refinished in period-correct Rally Red. The body shows in superb condition with excellent finish, panel fit and gaps. The interior now features new leather upholstery (originally vinyl) and showcases a correct AM/FM radio, wood-rim steering wheel and bucket seats. The car rides on rally wheels, which sport a killer 60's-style racer look, painted grey without rings and caps.
Included with this Corvette is the original owner's manual, warranty booklet, Protect-O-Plate and, amazingly, even the original plastic owner's manual folio.
From its excellent finish, to the new leather interior and a big-block 454, this Corvette coupe is one of the most desirable Stingray coupes we've seen in some time.
