Fully restored and upgraded with a pro-built 498, this 1967 Chevelle is one of the baddest muscle cars we've seen in some time. It is the product of a no-expense-spared restoration that brought this Chevelle back to its former glory---and then some. This is a true, 138-code Sport Coupe SS Chevelle that left the Fremont, CA plant in February 1967 finished in Emerald Turquoise.
The car packs a massive 498ci V8 big block under the hood that was pro-built, balanced and blueprinted by Barkowski Racing and both the engine and rebuilt Turbo400 transmission have seen less than 4000 miles. The engine features electronic fuel injection and MSD ignition, forged pistons, crank and rods, Offenhouser intake, GM Power Performance Aluminum Heads and Mickey Thompson valve covers. If this Chevelle wasn't bad enough, a custom exhaust system with electronically controlled dump valves can vary the soundtrack from visceral to downright earth-shaking.
During the restoration, the body was stripped and professionally refinished in factory correct Emerald Turquoise. The body shows virtually no signs of aging or damage with excellent panel fit and supreb brightwork. Likewise, the interior was fully redone with front bucket seats, center console, factory-correct tach, console clock, upgraded sound system and axiliary SunPro instrumentation. The car rolls on American Racing Torq Thurst wheels backed by disc brakes.
