V8. Full frame-off restoration with complete engine & transmission rebuild along with; New carpets, re-foam & re-skin leather seats, new radiator, clock, exhaust, brake lines & hoses, windshield, brake calipers, soft top, headlights, ignition shields, and washer pumps. Included with purchase are: Owner's manual, documentation from 1983 to present, resto photos and receipts, brochures, shop manuals, extra key, original wheels. Chevy introduced the Corvette in 1953 at the New York Auto Show. During the first few years, the car didn't feel much like the sports car Chevy had intended. It was built around a 6-cylinder engine and a chassis based on sedans from the General Motors lineup of cars. 1956 came around and a faster variant showed up sporting a V8 engine that had the car going in the right direction. As generations go by, Chevrolet names each one accordingly and as such, the 1953-1962 Corvettes were called "C1" Corvettes. Going into the second generation, they were listed as "C2" Corvettes and introduced the likes of the "Sting Ray" body style. This generation is one of the most compelling and desirable body styles of any Corvette created. From 1963-1967, the Corvette really took off and became the sports car we know today. Functional fender vents with 5 slots, dual taillights, and the placement of the parking brake lever from under the dash to in between the seats are only some of the changes made for 1967. When Chevy set out to make a sports car, they set a goal for homegrown performance in a stylish two-seat package, and the 1967 Corvette certainly achieved that.
