Park Place Ltd is very pleased to offer this 1967 Corvette, finished in correct Goodwood Green, over a Green vinyl interior. This nicely optioned example features very hard-to-find Air Conditioning (option code C60) and headrests (option codeA82), making this an entirely usable classic. Under the hood lies its original, matching number engine. Power comes from the sought-after L36 code 427 cubic-inch, 390 horsepower V8, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Further options include power steering, AM/FM pushbutton radio, and aluminum bolt-on wheels.
The 1967 Corvette's sculpted, muscular coupe design is simply breathtaking, and only 8,504 coupes were made in 1967, making it one of the most sought after of American sports cars around the world. The 1967 Stingray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line. Interestingly, sales for the Stingray's final year totaled 22,940, down from the 27,720 units sold in 1966.
The '67 model year received minor changes, updating the previous year's models. Five smaller front fender vents replaced the three larger ones, and flat-finish rockers sans ribbing conferred a lower, less chunky appearance. New was a single backup light, mounted above the license plate. The previous models' wheel covers gave way to standard slotted six-inch Rally wheels with chrome beauty rings and lug nuts concealed behind chrome caps. Interior alterations were modest and included revised upholstery, and the handbrake moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. This car is a rock solid example and will be a cherished addition to any collection. The body and frame are in superb condition and all mechanicals are completely sorted, including the air conditioning system. To find another with this color combination and options would be exceedingly difficult at best.
Included with purchase is the original Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual, and service file (which includes some ownership history).
