Rare 2001 Roush Stage III Ford Mustang Convertible. Equipped with a full Stage III setup, this is a very hard-to-find Roush Stage III Mustang Convertible. This Mustang started out life as a GT Premium Mustang Convertible, but has been performance upgraded and transformed by the professionals at Roush to be a nail-driving performance drop-top. The original $28,850 factory MSRP for this Mustang has been doubled by the cost of the complete Stage III equipment, which weighs in at a whopping $28,987 alone! The Stage III package was professionally installed by Roush and upgrades virtually every aspect of this Mustang, from the engine and suspension, to the interior and bodywork.
Under the hood of this convertible is a 360hp/375lb-ft supercharged and intercooled 4.6L V8 engine that has been upgraded by Roush with a roots-style supercharger, dual-core intercooler, performance accessory drive, performance engine management, Stage III fuel system and a thundering side-exit exhaust system. To handle the high performance, Roush totally overhauled the suspension with performance Bilstein dampers, upgraded springs, struts, sway bars, control arms and subframe connectors. Performance Roush / Alcon disc brakes provide stopping power behind Roush-optional chrome 18" wheels.
Further components of the Stage III package include aggressive Roush-designed aero bodywork including a Cobra hood, front bumper, side skirts, rear spoiler, rear bumper and roll bar. Inside, this Mustang also features Roush sport seats, Roush gauges, billet aluminum pedals and factory Mach 460 sound system with 6-disc CD changer.
The Roush window sticker and detail sheet outlining all performance upgrades are included with the car, along with two sets of keys and a CarFax history report.
