Presented in Lifestyle-range Phantom Black and with just 8,900 miles on the clock, this Exige S 240 is a highly desirable and well-equipped supercharged Exige. This Exige has known just one previous owner, has never been tracked and has been absolutely pampered since new. Original MSRP was $70,405 and the car is equipped with the optional Touring Package, Limited Slip Differential, and the aforementioned Lifestyle-range paint. According to the included Lotus Certificate of Provenance, this Exige S 240 is the only example produced for the US market in Phantom Black with this particular list of optional features.
First released in 2008, the S 240 is a performance-oriented version of the already blistering Exige S. It is powered by a supercharged and intercooled 1.8L engine that develops 240hp (20 more than the S) and sprints to 60mph in four seconds and tops 100mph in 10 (for perspective, the 6.2L V8-powered 2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 reaches 60mph and 100mph in 4.5 seconds and 10.8 seconds, respectively). Performance features include a factory-optional Limited Slip differential with performance traction control, standard Lotus Sport Adjustable Front Sway Bar, high-flow fuel injectors, Bilstein Dampers, Eibach Springs, front spoiler and rear diffuser, rear spoiler, lightweight forged alloy wheels and Lotus/AP Racing performance brakes.
Thanks to the included Touring Package, the normally spartan interior features leather-appointed sport seats, power window lifts, a telescoping cup holder and additional sound deadening for a quieter diving experience. Additionally, a rear-view camera has been installed with real-time display in the rear-view mirror for enhanced visibility. Also, a high-end custom audio system has been installed with a touchscreen Pioneer audio receiver, a JL audio amplifier, iPod integration, Focal speaker and an 8" subwoofer
Included with the car are two remote keys, owner's manual, a CarFax history report and Lotus Certificate of Provenance.
