This one-owner 2011 Porsche Cayman is an excellently optioned, low mileage 987-generation coupe. It is presented in metallic Meteor Grey over Black and features an incredible $12,730 in factory options! Less than 20,000 miles have been driven since this Cayman was originally sold for $65,080, and it shows in superb condition throughout, as would be expected. The Park Place LTD Service Center has performed a thorough inspection on this Cayman, and a full 20K service was completed in September 2014.
This Cayman's long list of options includes a number of highly-desirable and not-often-seen features. It was ordered new with a full leather interior and extensive gloss black trim throughout the interior thanks to the included Black Design Package -- virtually every surface is covered with soft-grain hides or glossy black trim, from the dash to the doors and center console. It was also ordered with Sound Package Plus and the Convenience Package that includes bi-Xenon head lamps, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, head lamp washers and daytime running lamps. heated sport seats, black Sports Tailpipe and a rear wiper are also optional. Enhancing this Cayman's aggressive profile is a set of black-painted 19" Boxster Spyder wheels -- the same that are seen on a 987 Cayman R -- and the Black Design Package also adds black trim and mirror caps.
Unlike a 911, Caymans feature a mid-mounted engine, in this case a free-revving 2.9L H6 that develops 265hp through a six-speed manual transmission. The mid-engine layout gives the Cayman a near-perfect front / rear weight distribution and arguably the best handling the current Porsche lineup. Paired with a proper 3-pedal gearbox, this example offers some of the most engaging and thrilling driving dynamics in a sport coupe on the road today.
