Optional Gloss Black Forged wheels, along with Metallic paint, give this example an aggressive and purposeful appearance. Also included is the Premium Pack, which provides an Ebony Black leather centre console, leather covered lower door trim, accent lighting, and leather trimmed door pockets, armrest, and footwell side panels -- even the tailgate insert is wrapped in leather. In addition, the Tech pack adds an upgraded stereo system with 2 x 50W amplifier, speakers and a subwoofer with dedicated amplifier, DVD player, 7" WVGA touch screen display with built-in SatNav system, Bluetooth® mobile phone connection, USB connection for various iPod(R) models, MP3 players and memory sticks, tire pressure monitoring, cruise control and rear parking sensors. The optional back-up camera makes parking lot maneuvering a breeze. The supportive leather Recaro sports seats are complemented with brushed aluminum accents, along with contrasting red piping and stitching.
Included with all "S" models, the Sport Ratio gear box and Sport Package give the Evora S a performance edge by enhancing throttle response, and providing a selectable sport mode.
Performance cross-drilled Lotus/AP Racing brakes, a sport rear diffuser, and titanium exhaust tips are also included. Powering the featherweight Evora S is a 3.5L V6 power plant with the addition of a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger that develops 276hp and 258lb-ft of torque -- the sprint from 0-60 in the Evora S happens in a blistering 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 172 miles per hour. Fuel economy is rated at a surprisingly efficient 17 miles per gallon in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The engine is mated to a Lotus-built close-ratio six-speed manual transmission, and the assembly is mounted transversely behind the seats for optimized balance. Riding on one of the finest performance chassis on the road and staggered 18"-inch wheels in front and 19-inch wheels in back, the Evora S provides an unmatched, razor sharp driving experience.
Lotus launched the Evora in 2010, to replace the Elise / Exige line. The Evora design is simple and draws from the minimalist qualities of Lotus' Formula cars, but the overall feel expresses quality and luxury. Compared to its predecessor, the Evora is a larger, more performance-oriented car with modern safety features. Lotus expanded the Evora range in 2012 with the supercharged Lotus Evora S. On the outside, the Evora S is nearly identical to its naturally-aspirated kin, with the exception of larger wheels and black side mirrors. Everything you see is built for function, and the outcome oozes exotic curb appeal. The aggressive front air dam channels airflow up and out through vents on the hood, creating down-force to keep the front of the car firmly on the pavement. Intakes behind the doors cool the engine, and a low, wide rear spoiler helps keep the rear tires planted at speed.
Included with the car is a copy of the original window sticker, two keys, owner's manual and a clean CarFax history report. This example has just been fully serviced at our Lotus authorized service center, and comes with factory warranty remaining through the end of 2015.
