1936 Brewster Town Car
This 1936 Brewster Town Car was first sold to a Mrs Elizabeth Singer-Proctor of 630 Park Ave, NYC on June 3rd of 1936. Known as the Brewster Town Cabriolet deVille, this very rare American, coach built classic was known to have lived in New York throughout the mid 1940s. Eventually the car made its way to San Francisco and was owned by a Mr. Ritchie of Ritchie Commercial Real Estate until 2005 when it was acquired by a Mr. Gaddis of Oregon. The car was completely dismantled and underwent a concours restoration until completion in 2016. Finished in its original color combination of dark burgundy and black, this town car also retains its original Ford flathead V8 engine with 3 speed manual transmission. Only the finest materials were used including premium smooth grain black leather hides and Wilton wool carpets for the driver's compartment and grey wool broad cloth , highly polished mahogany wood trim, and nickel plated metal trim for the passenger area. In July 2016 the Brewster won 1st place in its class at the Forest Grove Concours in Oregon. In July of 2017 it received 1st place at the Summer Grand Classic in Squim, Washington and received a senior recognition badge from the Classic Car Club of America. In 2018 the Brewster was acquired by a WA collector and was moved to AZ in 2020 and was shown at the Arizona Jet Center event. Copies of the original delivery card , comprehensive restoration receipts totaling over $170,000, a unmounted vintage Jaeger clock, and before/during/after restoration photographs accompany this truly exceptional automobile.
