Low-mileage 1999 Dodge Viper ACR Edition Viper in Viper Bright Silver Metallic with Black Leather Interior. Only 18,252 miles on this hard-to-find ACR Edition Viper. 8.0L 460HP/500 LB-FT V10 engine. 6-Speed Manual TREMEC Transmission. Competition Group. Comfort Group. Leather trimmed bucket seats. Competition Suspension. Premium Alpine Stereo Radio, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Tilt Steering Column, Power Mirrors, Air Conditioning. The 1999 Dodge Viper ACR (American Club Racer) was a special production run of only 215 'hybrids' of the Viper GTS-R and the standard Viper. This model had engine and suspension enhancements focused on maximizing performance in road racing and autocross environments. Horsepower was bumped to 460 hp in these models, while torque increased to 500 lb-ft. This example has been meticulously kept, shows extremely well, runs and drives flawlessley and is in outstanding condition throughout.
The 1999 Dodge Viper ACR (American Club Racer) was a hybrid of the GTS-R and the standard Viper. The major changes to make these vehicles race-ready were more power, lower weight, and refined handling: Smooth intake hoses and a K&N air filter element increased air flow to add 10 horsepower. 60 pounds were cut by removing the audio system, air conditioning, and fog lights (brake cooling ducts can be put into the openings). Suspension components have been replaced by GTS-R racing units with Meritor springs. Michelin Pilot Sport high-performance radials (P275/35ZR18 front, P335/30ZR18 rear) mount on one-piece 18-inch BBS wheels for improved traction. The ACR had the interior enhancements of standard Vipers: power sideview mirrors, cloth-covered sun visors, a satin aluminum finish on gauge trim rings, parking brake handle and release button, shift lever shaft, gearshift knob and inside door release handles. Special ACR badging and graphics including commemorative dash plate. Five-point restraint system, K&N air cleaner, smooth air cleaner hoses, one-piece 18-inch BBS wheels with chrome Viper Head center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Vents replaced driving lamps. A/C system/compressor deleted, audio system deleted, Koni racing shocks and Meritor springs. This was the final year of Viper participation in international road racing - and the team went out at the very top, winning not only Le Mans for the third straight time but also taking the overall win at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

This Viper has been driven less than 19,000 miles from new, and shows in like-new condition, both inside and out. It runs and drives fantastically, with unbelievable power that is instantly available, and it features a few choice upgrades. Not blinded by sheer performance, Dodge outfitted the Viper with a cabin that features a fair amount of comfort amenities. Leather trimmed upholstery comes standard, along with air conditioning, power windows and even power-adjustable pedals, a tilt steering wheel, remote keyless entry, a theft-deterrent system, and power windows, door locks and mirrors.
Not many sports cars are on par with the Viper, and it is considered a throwback to the era of all-out muscle machines. Viper ACR's boast cutting-edge technology with their Resin transfer molded (RTM) composite body with sheet-molded compound (SMC) hood, backbone tubular steel space frame with center spine and separate cowl structure, and the full-access forward-opening hood/fender assembly. Its aerodynamic upgrades produce up to 1,000 pounds of downforce at 150 mph, or roughly 10 times the downforce the standard Viper SRT-10 can produce at the same speed. On September 14, 2011, on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR completed the sixth fastest production, street-legal car lap ever recorded with a 7:12.13 elapsed time. Whether you're on a racecourse, an open highway or in urban traffic, piloting a Viper is a memorable experience. Brute force is its theme, and civilized behavior is nowhere to be found.
